1780s Corsetry 

Out of entirely white fabric I cut and constructed the under garments that would have been worn by  1780s woman.  Using Hogarth’s ‘Staymaker’ as a reference I constructed the corset out of white coutille, the hips pads to support the robe a la polonaise and the robe itself.
